Today I took my first breath on the earth... Mommy was scared because I came so early, Daddy was scared because my delivery was "Terrifying"! I just had to get here anyways, my environment had a breakdown. Mommy was only about 24-25 weeks pregnant with me so I am very small, 1 lb 13.1 oz. My doctor thinks mommy might have been closer to 26 weeks because I wiegh more than the average 24 week gestation baby.
Mommy is making this site for me so she has a place to post a journal of my progress to our family and friends. She will try to post new pictures and details of my health and growth here a few times a week. Right now she just wants everyone to know that I am doing very good. My heart rate is very stable and every day I breath a little more on my own. My eyes were still fused shut at birth but I opened them during my second night and mommy and daddy got out of bed to come stare at my little eyes at 1 am. They keep telling me how proud they are of me and how much they love me. I love them too!
Mommy had to leave the hospital on sunday, she was very sad to go home without me. My nurse Jennifer helped me make mommy a little card with my hand prints and foot prints. Mommy was very happy to see it when she came back to the hospital to visit me sunday night. I had my eyes open and I tried to stare at mommy when she talked to me but I have a hard time turning my little head so all I could do was shake my fists in frustration....
