We went to the apnea clinic at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital today. Allthough Noah's heart and respritory monitor alarms a couple times a day (night/ we don't use it when he is awake or we are near him during the day when he sleeps) the specialists that read the hard drive on it said he has not had ANY actual events since coming home from the hospital. Because of this he will no longer get liquid caffine added to his milk. We will keep the monitor for a few more weeks, when the hard drive on the current one is full the specialist will read it and call me to let me know if we need to continue monitoring him or not. I don't think we will.
Noah reached his due date last thursday. He is now full term. He will be 4 months old on the 25th of May. :) It has been a long road and it has also gone really quickly.
He is now 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. We are finally accepting a few visitors and getting out of the house a little. Noah and daddy took me out to breakfast to the Clarkston Cafe for Mother's Day. They have the best blueberry pancakes. We snuck over to the greenhouse this afternoon after the doctors visit. Everyone was very happy to see him. He gets his second set of vacinations at the end of the month, we should be able to take him anywhere after that.
Noah has been keeping me up nights quite abit over the last month, that is why I haven't had time or energy to post here. He had a case of colic and cried hard from 10:30 pm until 1 or 2 am. Since I started cutting back his caffine the colic has dramatically improved, he only cries for 30 minutes or so now. He is also going 4 hours between feeds at night instead of 2 1/2 hours. I am much more rested now, and a lot more sane ;) His feeds are up to 3 oz., the have increased quite a bit over the last two weeks. He is doing very well and behaving like a normal newborn, except his neck is much stronger. He likes to work at lifting his head and looking around, especially when he hears mommy talking.
